Thus, their flags and seals show this treaty.

Our first visit to Bohol take place on 2017 of May. We spent a whole week to explore the whole place. The main reason why we chose Bohol is due to the world’s smallest primate, the Tarsiers and so we did our research about the whole place.  After seeing the tourist destinations the place offers such as the Alona Beach, Chocolate Hills, Balicasag Beach, Hinagdanan Cave, and of course, the Baclayon Church, we decided to make our vacation a whole week trip even though we don’t have any planned itinerary. As long as we know what places we want to visit, we made our vacation one of the best treasured memories.

For our air trip, we chose Cebu Pacific which costs us 1,082 pesos each. The ride is smooth and only take 1 hour and 30 minutes. We landed at Panglao International Airport which is only 5 km away from Panglao Island where Alona Beach and Hinagdanan Cave lies. The airport is close to hotels we can book for our adventure. So, for our desired places to visit, we chose Henann Resort Alona Beach which costs 3,308 pesos. The resort is nice and wide. It offers a wide variety of accommodation. From rooms and hotels to pool villas. The resort has 3 wide pools too, cafes, lounge area, bars, spa, and of course, a 120 square meter beachfront. The service is excellent and they’re very good at keeping the whole resort clean. When we got there, we spent the whole day exploring the resorts and its services.

For our first day, we went to an hour and a half drive to wander the Danao Adventure Park. We didn’t bring a car so we have to use Grab. Although the trip is long, it is worth it. The place is breathtaking, the sceneries are so majestic, and of course the people there is very nice. They keep on smiling at us so it kind of feels like they are so glad we came at their place. It’s heart melting. We never felt so welcomed before so before, during, and after we tried every activity the place offers, we are truly smiling. This is the best part of the vacation for me, especially since I’m a scaredy cat. The Park really made me face my fears and I love every single bit of it. We first tried the zipline, it’s not the first time we ride one but the feel of fear is still lingering so I got jelly knees. As I flew across the next stop, my fear is gone due to the beautiful sceneries the place holds. The second activity we tried is bungee-jumping, this one I almost backed out since I’m afraid of heights but then I figured out that I may not be able to experience those things again and so I closed my eyes and kept it close until the end of the activity. We tried a lot of their activities from wall climbing to sky bike. We almost experienced every single activity besides the caving and trekking because we are saving it. Our most favorite part of our first day is the Sea of Clouds. We watched the sun sets and it feels magical.

Our second day, we explored the tourists spots at Baclayon, Bohol. We spent the morning admiring the Baclayon Church and the museum inside it. We attended the mass and after that we went to Bohol Vintage Cars since my father like his antique cars. The older it is the better. At lunch, we eat seafood at Kusina Genaro. The staffs there are so welcoming and very accommodating. When it comes to their food, it tastes nice but at the same time there could be some room for improvement. If you like meats this place is good for that too. The ambiance of the place in nice, there are a lot of trees surrounding the place, there’s hut. Overall, it looks like a garden restaurant. After lunch, we indulge our selves at Blood Compact Shrine. This is where the first ever international treaty in the Philippines take place. There is a guide after you enter the place that tours you around while giving historical facts about the place. This place is nice for pictures too. Our last activity for our second day is to explore the Kangcaramel Cave. This place is still a mystery when it comes to its history, so researchers will be happy to explore and study the place. I’m a fan of dark surroundings so I am very excited about this one. The cave is filled with stalagmites and holy statues.

Our third day is a gloomy day, perfect for exploring caves and its deep waters and so we went to Hinagdanan Cave.  The cave is made up of stalactites and stalagmites and is popular due to its lagoons. When we got there, the sun is already showing up and so the inside of the cave lightens due to the big holes at the roof of the cave where the sunlight peeked through. The inside of the cave is a bit slippery so there’s a rope you can hold on while entering the cave. There is no huts or designated place where you can leave your belongings, only the rocks.  When we found our spot, we sat down and eat the food we bring with us. When we are going to dive, we just eat a little, so we brought only sandwiches. After eating, we swim in into the underground water and played with it until the sun down. We went snorkeling and scuba diving. The water is refreshing, it’s not salty and it’s not cold. Perfect for gloomy weathers.

On our fourth day, we decided to wake up earlier than we usually do during the entire vacation and visit the reason why we are in Bohol, the Tarsiers and of course the Chocolate Hills. We decided so since the gap between the two places is 50.3 km and that’s an hour and 11 minutes’ drive. We arrived first at the Philippine Tarsier Sanctuary. At this sanctuary we can observe the Tarsiers at their natural habitats. It’s a like a mini forest inside the sanctuary. We can only take pictures of the tarsiers in a distance, since the guide says that we cannot actually come really close, the Tarsiers will be stressed and so they will keep on jumping on one tree to another. The Tour Guides are nice and they answered our questions patiently even though my father keeps on asking the same questions ever since. After visiting the tarsiers and having fun taking a lot of pictures, we then grab ourselves a Grab again and drove off to Many Unlimited Topokki Buffet Restaurant to fill up our stomachs, since we craved the Korean dishes. The ambience at the restaurant is nice and they are all smiles whenever new customers arrives. Their service is nice and they communicate well with us. After eating we go and went to see the Chocolate Hills. After we arrived at the place, there are a lot of stairs to climb to the viewing deck since just like the Tarsiers, we cannot go near the Chocolate Hills. The entrance fee is a bit pricey but once you see the view, it’s worth it. After admiring the view of the Chocolate Hills and getting enough pictures. We brought souvenirs like the Peanut Kisses and Malunggay Ice Cream.

For our last day at Bohol, we enjoyed the spa first at the hotel and the pool before we checked out from our hotel room and went to Balicasag Island.  We rented a room so we leave some of our staffs and enjoyed the white sand. Since it’s our last day, we are staying here until the time for our flight back to Manila. After changing in to our gears, we went scuba diving and see a lot of corals and turtles. After which, we enjoyed the seafood platters the Island offers and went on to ride a boat. My little brother loves animals so when the dolphins start to appear at the surface of the water, he keeps on giggling like a baby he is. The Dolphins are naturally friendly and they keep on playing with us, we are not allowed to give them anything so we just watched and be blown by their cuteness.  After playing with the dolphins, we went back to our cottage and went swimming until sundown. Our flight back to Manila is early so we didn’t get the chance to explore the Island and it’s best features, but the time we spent there is truly amazing and is worthy to remember.  I've learnt to appreciate all things I have and is experiencing right now. It makes me want to never forget about the good memories forever.
